Select an orienteering map from the app and print it. Initiate the race and proceed to navigate towards the subsequent control point utilizing the printed map. In this course, physical flags are absent, however, the app diligently tracks your location and promptly notifies you audibly upon reaching each new control point.

The application is equipped with a compass function, negating the necessity for additional equipment besides your printed map and smartphone to engage in a race.

If you encounter challenges in determining your route, you have the option to request assistance from UsynligO by soliciting a "hint" indicating the direction and distance to the subsequent control post.

You also have the ability to share your race time on the UsynligO server, granting you eligibility for inclusion in the official results for the specific course you undertook. These results encompass details such as the number of "hints" utilized, in addition to your overall time and split times.

To offer your created map for public use, allowing other participants to experience your course, you can visit www.usynligo.no and upload your maps directly.

UsynligO essentially enables you to coordinate orienteering events and competitions sans the logistical complexities associated with placing physical flags within the forest. The courses can remain accessible for any duration as per your discretion. Moreover, in case you wish to merge virtual navigation with physical flags, the application affords the option to print QR codes for validation purposes at each location, ensuring precise timing accuracy.

Furthermore, users have the opportunity to access courses from Livelox, granting them the capability to revisit Livelox courses provided they possess the corresponding map.

The app accommodates both traditional orienteering formats and offers support for Score Orienteering as well. In Score Orienteering, participants possess the autonomy to determine their visitation sequence for control points and accrue points based on locating each one successfully.
